And no one has cared. A majority of the black community dismissed all that stuff as just the attempt to get rid of a black President. The fact that Rush, Sean, Glenn Beck and others have been criticizing Democrat policies for decades cut no ice. Obama was black, so everyone who criticized him was a racist.
Even that Maxine Waters comment, which Rush and Sean expected to pay great dividends, was a total washout. My readers remember that, I'm sure. Waters stood in front of her constituents and told them that Obama wasn't doing anything for the black community, and if he'd been white she and her fellow black politicians would have been on him like a ton of bricks. But because he was black, they couldn't criticize him unless they - her constituents - gave her permission. And they never did.
The current trend is for Republican businesspeople to lay off, or threaten to lay off, Democrats. Or to say that the reason why they are cutting hours to their employees is because of Obamacare.
And this is apparently backfiring, as once again the "low info" folks don't know the reasons behind what they're doing, nor do they care. They merely see it as "the man" being racist against a black president.
So Papa Johns and some other business announced they were cutting the hours of their workers because of Obamacare, and immediately, people stopped going to their restaurants. They didn't care about Obamacare, they just decided to punish Papa Johns for being racist. Justice for Trayvon Martin! Today, another business is doing the same thing:
Apartment Manager Threatens to Raise Rent on Democrats RUSH: "An apartment manager in Colorado Springs is threatening to raise the rent of tenants who voted to re-elect President Obama." According to a radio station out there, the manager of the apartment complex "sent a letter to his tenants Wednesday regarding staff and maintenance issues, but it included a post script that read, 'BTW: If you voted Democrat on Nov. 6, please notify me ASAP so I can raise your rent first to help pay for what you asked for.'" By the way, "the letter began by decrying the 'stupidity' of an electorate that would back 'the Obama-administration’s continued assault on small business.'" It's a memo to people that live in the place about their staff and maintenance costs. It's a joke, of course, there's no way for this guy to know who voted Dem or Republican, but you know this will come back to bite him in the butt. If he raises rents, he'll be sued, mark my words. It reminds me, there was a letter to the editor, it might have been the New York Times, I forget where it was, doesn't matter, but it was from a Baby Boomer. A guy about my age who was writing to thank young Obama voters for voting the way they did 'cause now he can sit back and relax and do nothing and they're gonna pay for his retirement with everything they're gonna earn for the rest of their lives. I want to thank all you Obama voters 'cause I can quit, I can retire. You're gonna pay for everything for me. He gave 'em a little smooch, and it was actually run.
