Delaware Overview: Nov 2, 2010 Senate Elections

Okay, 37 posts on a Sunday may be too many, but I'm going to risk it. These are the 37 Senate races that will be decided on November 2, 2010. If Republicans don't win quite a few of these, in order to gain a majority in the Senate, it will certainly be a referendum to all that the Democrat model is what the American people actually want.... (or will it just be a referendum against the Tea Partiers?)

Screencaps of Dem and Rep candidates are shown alphabetically.

Joe Biden, Delaware senator, resigned to become Vice President. Ted Kaufman replaced him temporarily.

Then-U.S. Senator Joe Biden (D-Del.) was simultaneously reelected to the U.S. Senate and elected Vice President on November 4, 2008. Although Biden was sworn in for his seventh term on January 6, 2009, he rendered his resignation effective January 15 in preparation for taking office as Vice President on January 20, 2009.

Democrat Ted Kaufman, Biden's former chief of staff, replaced him, but chose not to run for re-election.

Christine O'Donnell is the Republican candidate, defeating Mike Castle in the primary.

Chris Coons is the Democrat candidate.
