Maybe they're doing it because they couldn't fill the outdoor one - though I find that difficult to believe because they can bus in as many people as they want. ; )
But we have had news in the last couple of years - concerts and such like held at outdoor stadiums, and sudden wind gusts have knocked over stages and killed people...
I say safety just makes sense.
