Voters Have the Right to Decide...but What if they're wrong?

The supreme court voted down California's ban on gay marriages - which the people of California voted for.

(That's interesting, by the way. Who would have thought the ultra-liberal that California would have objected to gay marriage?)

But the Supreme Court overturned what the Californian people wanted.

Now on the one hand yes, that's outrageous. But on the other hand...why shouldn't gay people have the right to marry? If they have only a 50% success rate, it will be as good as the heterosexual marriage rate.

It's like..what if Californians had decided to vote full citizenship to illegal aliens in defiance of Federal Law. Rush would have been cheering them on, then, if the Feds had sued to overturn that vote.

There's so much hatred in the world...if a couple of gays want to profess their love and commitment to each other, why not let them do it?
