KING: Just look at one more as we come down the line here. If you look here, among faith, obviously Governor Mormon is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He's a Mormon, and he won big among Mormons.
RUSH: "Governor Mormon is a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, He's a Mormon..." Governor Mormon is a Mormon. "He won big among Mormons." Governor Mormon. He, of course, means Governor Romney. Now, you let some conservative newsperson say "Governor Jew" -- sayonara. "Governor Muslim" -- sayonara, pal! Adios! It's to Tijuana for you. Governor Mormon. Yeah. Governor Mormon, a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he's a Mormon, he won big among Mormons.
Reading it above - I didn't hear King's quote and so don't know his vocal inflection - it sounds like it was just a slip of the tongue.
But of course, if it wasn't, if he was definitely saying Governor Mormon - then Rush raises a good point.
But I dunno...just based on that sentence...the guy had Mormon on the brain so he said it twice...such slips of the tongue happen...
