Oh, for God's sake!

Tebow's team didn't win this afternoon because God willed it. He won because *I* didn't think he'd be able to do anything with just 5 minutes left in the game, down 10 - 0, and *I* turned the game off.

So of course in the last 2 minutes of the game Tebow throws a touchdown pass. Broncos onside kick, don't get it, but Marion Barber makes a bonehead mistake that gives the Broncos back the ball and they get a 59-yard FG to tie it.

I *did* turn on the Overtime...Bears marching down the field with ease...til someone punched the ball out of Marion Barber's hand again, Broncos recovered, and Prater hit another field goal - this one really easy, only 51 yards.

So I'm watching the halftime between Giants and Cowboys, and Bob Costas comes on and makes the most condescending remarks imaginable about Tebow and his religion.

I mean...really. Why say anything at all? If Tebow mentions God in his interviews, report it. Other than that, there's no need to mention it! It seems that everyone who despises Tebow does so because they think he proseletyzes his religion all the time. He doesn't. It's the media that obsesses about it and asks him about it and condescends about it.

It will be interesting to see how Tebow does against the Patriots next week. The Patriots defense must suck...how else could the Redskins trade touchdowns with them 5 or 6 times? But the Patriots have a high-octane offense and I'd say that 2/3rds of any win for the Broncos comes from the fact that their defense is able to hold the other team's offense in check.

But if the Broncos are down by 10 next week with two minutes to go...I'll turn the TV off again. Anything to help them win. ; )
