It was funny the first five times...

Kim Jong Il died yesterday. Today, Rush kept on saying, Kim Jong Il is now Kim Jong Dead. (Because Il sounds like "ill" - get it.)

Yeah, it was clever and funny the first time. And the second time. For some people I'm sure it was funny the third, fourth and fifth times. After that it just got tiresome. I hope he got it out of his system today and won't be making that same joke for the next give years like he does with "John Kerry who served in Vietnam."

Having said that...it is interesting how people are treating the death of this guy. As Rush said, North Korea is a backward little country whose people are starving, for all that they have nuclear capability. Are its citizens really weeping for his death? Perhaps only because they know that there's about to be a civil war between the guy's three sons - and of course who gets it in the neck during a civil war - the civilians.
