Rush spoke on his program today about how he had been in the same graduating class as Terry Jones, the pastor from Gainsville Florida who was going to burn Korans (and as a result of that, cause the uprising of Islamic fury throughout all the middle east. Now, you know there's something wrong, frightening, scary, about a religion where if 1 person in the USA burns a Koran, thousands of Christians halfway across the world are going to pay for it with their deaths....)
Anyway, Rush said he didn't remember the guy, he'd been in a graduating class of 2,000 people.
So, that's a non-issue, but presumably the "mainstream" media are going to pick at it for a while...
Meantime, it's intersting to me that no one in the "mainstream" media has pointed out the overreaction from our Muslim friends about this Koran burning business. How in the world can Islam claim to be a religion of peace when the reaction of its worshipers, to the actions of one person, itto kill all Christians they can get their hands on?
I cannot believe that anyone is defending Islam, verbally, trying to separate it from "radical Islam"...but of course in one sense they've got to. THere are over 1 billion Muslims in the world, the religion is growing because whereever Islam takes over, the people are forced to convert, and no one can leave the religion on pain of death....
Is this really a religion that preaches tolerance? Not so. Saudi Arabia's treatment of Christians - a minority in Saudi as Muslims are here - is quite brutal. But do we ever hear the mainstream media talk about the indignities Christians in Muslim countries are subjected to every day. I don't think so.
