Who is Julia Sweig?

Rush mentioned Julia Sweig on the program.
So here we have the ruling class elite, the Council on Foreign Relations, I mean you have to have qualifications to get into this CFR. You just can't walk in there and fill out an application. Actually, you can. Do you know that? You can walk in and fill out an application. You're not going to be a full-fledged invited member, but you can say "resident scholar" if they accept you. So beware when you see people on TV, "scholar or resident, whatever, CFR," they may have just walked in the door and said they want to be members. Some of them have been recruited. I'm sure this Julia Sweig, though, is a member in high standing, recruited. "He wasn't talking about the Revolution." Of course he was.

Wikipedia's bio is sparse:

Julia E. Sweig is the Nelson and David Rockefeller Senior Fellow for Latin America Studies and Director for Latin America Studies at the Council on Foreign Relations and specializes in Latin America and U.S.-Latin America foreign policy. Sweig holds a B.A. from the University of California, Santa Cruz and an M.A. and PhD. from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies. She is on the editorial board of Foreign Affairs en EspaƱol. She was born in Chicago.
