In looking at President Obama's schedule for today, I see that he is going to go to Pennsylvania to give his second annual Back-to-School speech. He's scheduled to arrive in Philadelphia at 12: 30 pm. He's scheduled to give his speech at the Julia R. Masterman Laboratory and Demonstration School at 1 pm.
At 2 pm, he's scheduled to leave Philadelphia for the White House.
So he's going to fly to Philadelphia and back, equipped with all his secret service. He's going to spend time in Philadelphia, guarded by a motorcade, etc.
And he's going to fly back after a whole hour.
Why? Why? Excuse me but I thought the US was dead broke. (Oh..it's only Republicans that think that?)
Is there no school in Washington DC - perhaps the one his daughters go to - from which he could have made this speech?
Think of all the taxpayer's money he could have saved if he made the speech from a Washington DC school, or better yet, from the Oval Office.
And think of the carbon footprint!!!!
