Rush was commenting today that everyone is going after gun owners, no one is going after the movies that engender this behavior, like the Bstman film, the Matrix films, etc.
That's not really true. Plenty of people have been trying to ban violence on TV - or at least stop it from coming on til late at night where kids won't see it.
Parents have been trying to stop violent video games, and have failed, as the makers of that garbage cite First Amendment.
I've got my own Devolution Media blog where I talk about this kind of stuff.
Far more than violence in movies, I think sex and loose morals on sit coms and drama shows and reality TV is what is dumbing down and coarsening America - and indeed the world.
Reality shows called "Teen Mom", "Toddlers and Tiaras", "Dog the Bounty Hunter", "Bait Car," etc.. are just awful...and yet because they're cheaper to produce than fiction shows, we're getting inundated with them. To our detriment.
