The problem *is* t he kids as well as the adults

Rush was saying today that the kids aren't the problem, the parents aren't the problem.

Sorry, but the clueless parents - or more accurately, parent - raises the kids, so the kids can't learn anything but what they're taught.

How can a 15-year-old mom teach her child manners when she doesn't know them? How can she teach her child self-reliance when she doesn't know the meaning of the phrase? How can people - white, black or whatever color- have any concept of self=reliance when they've lived three generations of welfare, not to mention sat in the pews of a church that tells them that it's white folk keeping them from getting jobs, not the fact that they can't read, can't speak recognizable English, and can't do math which are the real reasons. I know what the solution would be, but unfortunately it would never be implemented. The idea would be to teach morals and ethics in schools. Not religious morals and ethics, just real morals and ethics based on the idea of self-reliance. Manners could be taught in school as well. But parents would say, "Oh, that's the parent's job." Well...in many areas of this country parents aren't doing their job.
