Rush slipped that little inaccurate dig into his comments on Obama going to India - with his teleprompter. Sheesh, man. Can't you memorize your bloody speech?
Story #3: Huge Obama Entourage, Teleprompter Will Go India
RUSH: Interesting story here. This is from India Today. Listen to this: "US President Barack Obama's trip to India next month is set to be the biggest ever by any US president in terms of the protocol and logistics. Headlines Today has accessed the details of elaborate arrangements that will be in place to guard Obama during his three-day trip beginning on November 6." I mean, he's literally getting out of the country two days after the elections. "He will be accompanied by US First Lady Michelle Obama and their daughters Malia and Sasha. Earlier, Obama's daughters Sasha and Malia were not to be part of the trip. But sources revealed that Michelle's opinion prevailed and now the girls would accompany the first American couple to India."
Now, get this. "The presidential entourage will have 40 aircraft, including the Air Force One that will ferry the president. There will be six armoured cars, including the Barack Mobile, a Cadillac. The Cadillac limousine is equipped with a mini communication centre to enable Obama to be in touch with the White House, US vice president and the US strategic command. It also has the US nuke launch codes..." (Let's hope Obama doesn't lose 'em as Clinton did once. That was reported earlier this week.) Forty aircraft. I told you yesterday they have taken the entire Taj Mahal hotel: 570 rooms. Forty aircraft. Now, how many people is he taking? Five hundred seventy rooms just in one hotel? You have to take the Secret Service, of course, and you gotta take a bunch of transport planes to take the limousines over there.
Now, I know Hillary's not gonna be there. Hillary's... Where is she now? She's probably back in the country on November 6th when Obama's gone. Somebody has to be in charge. "Three Marine One choppers will be reassembled in India to ferry Obama and his family. These helicopters will also assist in evacuation in case of an emergency. Moreover, 30 sniffer dogs will be put on service to boost the security arrangements during Obama's visit... The secret service [sic] will set up two command posts in Delhi and Mumbai which will act as the communication nerve centres. These centres will keep an eye on each movement by the president with real time satellite monitoring." So forty aircraft, including both Air Force Ones. Well, in fairness, both Air Force Ones travel all the time. One's a decoy, carrying the press around (press overflow).
And it should be pointed out that Obama will be taking his teleprompter. He's going to make a speech at the Indian parliament where for the first time ever a teleprompter will be used. A teleprompter has never been used in the Indian parliament, and Obama is going to break that tradition. I've been told he uses teleprompters in staff meetings. I have been told he uses teleprompters in cabinet meetings where he's only dealing with staff. I believe it. I know it to be true. I mean, we know he took a teleprompter with him to a grade school.
