Obama Lays Blame Squarely With Republicans

Anybody even remotely aware of what's going on in this country has to know that that "political brinksmanship" was the effort of the Republicans to instill some kind of responsibility towards spending into the economy!
RUSH: Last night in Iowa at a town hall event, more from President Obama.

OBAMA: We had reversed the recession, avoided a depression, got the economy movin' again, created two million private sector jobs over the last 17 months, but over the last six months we've had a run of bad luck, some things that we could not control. The question is: How do we manage these challenging times and do the right things when it comes to those things that we can control? See, the problem we have is not with our country.

RUSH: (groans)

OBAMA: The problem is that our politics is broken.

RUSH: Boring.

OBAMA: The problem is -- is that we've got the kind of partisan brinksmanship that is willing to put party ahead of country.

And that may be so. But what does the party represent? Republicnas - spending accountability (at least it's supposed to be). Democrats - spendthriftness. So really... the parties are the country.

Rush comments:
Poor old Obama and his bad luck. Let's catalog, folks, this run of bad luck that Obama had. The Democrats controlled Congress for four years. Obama got his $800 billion not-so-shovel-ready stimulus bill, he jammed job killing Obamacare down our throats. He got the Dodd-Frank financial regulatory reform bill signed into law. His EPA has been on a regulation-crazed rampage. He's got 99% fawning media coverage. Ben Bernanke prints trillions of dollars that Obama says is totally awesome. The media has ignored the Fast and Furious scandal. Business media gets kickbacks from Obama's stash every time they use the word "unexpected" in a news story -- and the only color available to paint Obama's current campaign bus was mortuary black! That's his bad luck. He made his bad luck. All of that is Disaster 101. "Yeah, we had a run of bad luck."
