I listened to a few minutes of Sean Hannity yesterday, he was demanding - a whole 24 hours, if that long - after the Libyan rebels had captured the third of Ghadaffi's sons, why the President wasn't out making a speech on the new policy, if any, with Libya.
And I'm thinking...what the heck do you expect? The situation in Libya is still very fluid..perhaps the President has people on the ground there trying to accomplish various things, and it would compromise things to have the Prez make some big ol' announcement now.
It would be as silly as the President going on air 24 hours before his commandoes were to kill Bin Laden, and telling everyone that was about to happen.
In some cases, the public doesn't have the instantaneous right to know.
But of course Hannity just wants to get in some digs at Obama for being on vacation at such a difficult time. And of course I agree with that. Sure, go out and play golf to relax and keep your sanity, but to take two aircraft to the very expensive Martha's Vineyard, two motorcades, etc., that's a bit over the top. (('m wondering if they will also leave in separate aircraft.)
