Religion vs Bald Eagles

Rush commented today on the fact that a tribe of Native Americans in Wyoming are going to be allowed to kill bald eagles. He calls this an attack on American symbols.

He doesn't share the whole story.

The Indians only want to kill two bald eagles... because they use them in their religious ceremony, the Sun Dance.

Now, just as Christians don't want their beliefs and consciences messed with - do Christians have the right to tell these Indians that they cant' kill these bald eagles because, after all, it is their religion?

That's the slippery slope of letting people do things based on their religion instead of what's right.
