Was he captured alive and then killed? That seems to be it... but ...will the truth ever be known.
When President Bush decided to invade Iraq despite not having the support of the UN, he was criticized for acting unilaterally. [And on that note, he has also been criticized for destabilizing the region - Iran was weak, and now they are extremely strong and very much are foes.]
Of course according to Rush the reason why no one else, as for example France, wanted to invade Iraq was because certain people in France (and in the UN!) were getting rich off of the Iraq sanctions.
But now we've got Obama - committing troops to Libya to help depose someone who'd been ruling for 30 years or whatever. We stood by when the ruler of Eygpt and one of our allies was deposed in Mubarrak...
What happens when someone decides they need to help folks in the US depose our President? Our moral high ground for saying, "Don't mess with elected leaders" is long gone. [Well...that may have gone out the window when the US tried to help depose Castro with the Bay of Pigs, but since then until now...?]
One also has to wonder why Obama thought the death of Khadafy was so important that he had to make a speech about it. (At least he did this at 2 pm and not in prime time.)
First Rush pointed out that Louis Farrakhan cannot be happy about the death of Khadafy):

FARRAKHAN: I warned my brother, don't you let these wicked demons move you in a direction that will absolutely ruin your future with your people in Africa and throughout the world. Why don't you organize a group of respected Americans and ask for a meeting with Khadafy? You can't order him to step down and get out. Who the hell do you think you are?
