Of course poor people need pets!
Well, on the face of it I suppose you could be outraged, but think about it...
Where do OUR taxpayer dollars go now? To fund a program in some African country to teach the males to wash their genitals before sex? (Or after sex? I forget which one. In any event, apparently they were trying to see if this would prevent AIDS, and just handing out free condoms didn't seem to occur.)
Then there's the study of prostitute behavior in some other foreign country to see what can be done to make the sex worker profession more safe.
All these ridiculous things.
Then we've got people, poor people, and they've got a kid and they want a puppy or a cat or something but they can't afford to feed it. I say, go for it.
Obviously I don't think our taxes should go to feed Great Danes or Mastiffs or more than 3 dogs in any one home - in the same way we shouldn't be paying for any kids born *after* a person goes on welfare - get an education first, get off the temporary stopgap that welfare was supposed to be - and *then* start or resume your family. But if you're accepting tax payer funds, you have no right to increase our burden by continuing to have kids.
Get a dog instead. Much less expensive, and provides unconditional love. Will never break your heart when they turn into teenagers!

The Fall of Jesse Jackson Jr
But I suppose it is worse for Jackson, since "his people" looked up to him. Since his father was a minister who should have instilled in him values of right and wrong.... just like you'd have to be surprised that Jesse Jackson sr was too dumb to wear a condom so he wouldn't get a woman pregnant out of wedlock...a source of *his* shame when growing up....of course children who don't know their daddy's names let alone what he looks like is all the rage these days...
Anyway, a media person said a stupid thing and Rush makes some very good points:
RUSH: I'm surprised they even reported it, Snerdley.
Snerdley's in there having a cow right now over what CNN's doing. CNN's got a graphic up there: "Jesse Jackson Jr. Pleads Guilty, Sad Day for the Civil Rights Community." Snerdley's very cynical today. "What the hell did he ever do for the civil rights community?" You ought to be thankful they're even reporting it! Do you realize how few people care? The son of the Reverend Jackson, Jesse Jackson Jr. -- and his wife -- are pleading guilty here to the inappropriate use of campaign funds, fur capes and who knows whatever else.
And it's a "Sad Day for the Civil Rights Community." (interruption) I don't know why it's a sad day. See, you and I don't think in these terms. You know, when Ronald Reagan died, did anyone say, "Oh, it's a bad day for the white community"? People just don't think this way, but they do. So Jesse Jackson Jr. engages in some criminal activities. Does that taint the whole civil rights community? Not to me it doesn't. What did he ever do for it anyway? He wasn't at Selma.
Anyway, it's part and parcel of the way CNN sees the world. "Sad Day for the Civil Rights Community." If the Reverend Jackson had a son, wouldn't he look like Jesse Jackson Jr.? (laughing) I wonder. You know, I say these things, and you know the left's out there, and they have outrageous reactions, and they just have no sense of humor. They don't understand that we relate things to things other people have said months or years ago.
You people listen every day and you're up to speed. You know the context of things in this program. But if you happen to be a Democrat and you just turned the radio on and you heard me say that you are probably smoking now. (laughing) You're writing letters to the FCC and whoever else. Low-information voter voters are scratching their heads. "He does have a son, and it is Jesse Jackson Jr., and Jesse Jackson Jr. looks like Jesse Jackson Jr.! What does Limbaugh mean?"
We have an audio sound bite from CNN newsroom this afternoon. This is Suzanne Malveaux talking to Mary Mitchell of the Chicago Sun-Times about the tragic decline of Jesse Jackson Jr. Suzanne Malveaux said, "You know the Jackson family very well. Why did this happen? Why did this just go downhill and deteriorate, Mary? I mean, Jesse Jackson Jr. comes from a very prominent family. His father's had his own problems, yeah, but why did he succumb to all of this?"
MITCHELL: I see an American tragedy. You have Jesse Jackson Sr. and you have a son who was raised at his feet, the feet of civil rights leaders. Great education, great opportunity, Chicago royalty. I have to say this, that even in Chicago there were signs than that was not quite right. The high living, the going to Washington and immediately buying a very expensive house in a very expensive neighborhood. Those things should have been red flags. I don't think we asked enough questions that could have gotten to the heart of this before it got way down this road. We never put the dots together. I think not putting the dots together allowed him to go on down that path. It's his own responsibility, but as media people, we should have seen it coming.
RUSH: Well!
So there you have Mary Mitchell of the Chicago Sun-Times, saying (summarized), "We coulda stopped it in the media if we'da connected the dots. It's our fault he's a crook. If we'da seen those dots being connected... We saw the dots. We didn't connect 'em, and we in the media -- I mean, it's his own responsibility, but we in the media -- as media people, we shoulda seen it coming and we could have stopped it. Why, he's out there buying houses in neighborhoods he shouldn't be living in."
Why not?
Let me ask a simple question: With all the shakedown operations that have taken place over the years, why would anybody in the media assume that Jesse Jackson Jr. doesn't have any money? Wouldn't it be quite natural to assume that Jesse Jackson Jr. has access to all kinds of money? You media people in Chicago, you're putting way too much pressure on yourselves. The media in Chicago is beating themselves up for allowing this to happen. They saw the dots. They just didn't connect 'em. The high living? Well, he's Jesse Jackson Jr.'s son. What's he supposed to do? Live in a slum? He goes out there and buys "a very expensive house in a very expensive neighborhood."
Well didn't he grow up in one?
Where's he supposed to live?
He's Jesse Jackson Jr. There should have been red flags. I don't think we asked enough questions. Coulda gotten to the heart of this before it got way down the road. So they coulda stopped him. They coulda saved him if they'da just asked. What are you doing in this neighborhood? Can you imagine if they had asked that? Ms. Mitchell, are you supposed to do a story in the Chicago Sun-Times saying, "Did Jesse Jackson Jr. buy that Rolex himself?" Is that what you shoulda done?
RUSH: You know, I'm sitting here in uncontrollable mirth, ladies and gentlemen. Mary Mitchell of the Chicago Sun-Times said the media shoulda connected the dots on Jesse Jackson Jr. You mean just like they did on John Edwards? Just like they did on Bob Menendez? Just like they did on Bill Clinton? They never connect the dots. They never ask the questions about Democrats. They never expose any of this. All she's upset about is they weren't able to cover it up. That would be my guess.
Just how much did Obama's golf trip cost US?
President finally shows his face after $1m golfing weekend with Tiger Woods that White House didn't want world to see
- Obama played at exclusive Florida course on Sunday with Tiger Woods
- President refused to say if he had been beaten by the champion golfer
- Cost of Air Force One trips to and from Florida, along with hotel rooms, greens fees and exclusive golf lessons comes to $989,207
- Tried to mend fraught relationship with traveling press corps by 'hanging out' with them for 10 minutes on the flight back
PUBLISHED:21:17 EST, 18 February 2013| UPDATED:08:56 EST, 19 February 2013
Pictures finally appeared of President Obama on Monday evening as he headed home to Washington after a relaxing golf weekend which was kept heavily under wraps.
The President was on the course on Monday for the third and final day of a Florida vacation with departing US Trade Representative Ron Kirk, the president's Chicago pal Eric Whitaker and White House aide Marvin Nicholson.
The President had enjoyed a round of golf with Tiger Woods on Sunday - a fact that only emerged by chance after media were banned from attending the event. The traveling pool of journalists who follow the President's every move were reportedly furious after being shut out of his round of golf and not being allowed on to the club grounds.
It has long been a White House tradition that pool reporters cover the President's rounds of golf and even have the opportunity for a few questions on the course.
The President waved as he jogged up the steps of Air Force One at Palm Beach International Airport on Monday evening while a White House aide heaved golf clubs and large bags on board.
When he landed back in Washington and walked across the White House lawn, several frustrated reporters collectively shouted to the President to ask if he had beaten Tiger Woods.
Despite appearing to have heard the question, the Daily Caller reported, Obama did not answer and just smiled.
The club's owner is Jim Crane, a Houston businessman who also owns baseball's Houston Astros. Crane also has given money to Obama's political campaigns.
The White House had barred media coverage of the president's golf holiday but released the names of his partners.
The Huffington Post reports that the President tried to make amends with the traveling press by spending a quick 10 to 15 minutes with them in the back of Air Force One as they headed back to D.C.

Proving that he was not dropping the secrecy act anytime soon, all of the reporters involved had to agree that the conversation was off the record, meaning that they could not officially report anything that he said and had to keep their reflections of the conversation in extremely vague terms.
'He didn't come back because he had to tell us something. He came back to hang out,' reporter Scott Wilson from The Washington Post, who was serving as the pool reporter on Monday.
The weekend is the latest in a string of incidents that have prompted press backlash against the self-titled 'transparent' President, with Politico reporting today that withholding access is just one of the ways in which his administration works to avoid the tough questions and promote their brand.
The outrage over the lack of transparency comes as much of the bill for the pricey trip will be paid for by tax payers, yet President Obama did not feel it appropriate to even release one photo of his time out on the course.
The President played with the notorious philanderer on Sunday after getting a private lesson from Woods' former coach the day before.
Low Information People - the Death of America
I'll go further than that and say it's all deliberate. Take a look at every single channel - if you get cable or satellite. Doesn't matter if its AMC, CBS, the Sci Fi channel or what have you. Every single one has "reality series" these days.
Yes, they're cheapter to make than real TV series where you have to pay actors the big bucks... but these things are such utter garbage...and yet people must watch them.
Then there's the utter, utter garbage of shows like Maury Povich and others, where women whose husbands have cheated on them with their sisters or mothers or what have you, come on and have shouting matches while an actual audience starts shouting too, or giving *their* advice, but no doubt hoping for a couple of big ol' fat women to have a catfight. Which happens quite a bit if the trailers for the episodes are to be believed.
That method of solving problems is being inculcated into our youth as *the* method of solving problems, which is so evil.
I mean, come on. You husband cheats on you with your sister - what is their to discuss? Kick them both out. End of problem.

Just how dangerous is South Africa?
I checked Pretoria at Wikipedia and it doesn't list any crime statistics. I think Johannesburg is the crime capital of the world these days as regards murders and car jackings...
Point is this. If you live in a gated compound, why would your first thought about someone moving in your bathroom be a burglar rather than the girlfriend who is not in bed with you?
Pistorius says he didn't have his legs on and so felt very vulnerable, which is why he shot through a closed door instead of teling whoever was in the bathroom to come out with their hands up. (ANd of coures if it had been a crook, they could have had a gun and shot through the door on *their* end - but with a heckuva less chance of hitting someone. Especially if Pistorius had put himself on the other side of the bed frm the door of the bathroom to use that for cover.)
No...I'm inclined to think that Pistorius shot into the bthroom because his girlfriend made him angry, and ended up killing her.
Rush's Immigration Bill
We can't pay for anything now and we're going ti reward these guys forbreaking our laws???
RUSH: I think the president... As I said earlier: Forget the sequester. That's a distraction, and forget all these other tiny little things that are made to look gigantic. The thing everybody needs to have their sights set on is 2014 and the House races. If the Democrats win the House, then it's back to the way it was for Obama's first two years -- and there's nothing, even if they want to, that the Republicans can do legislatively to stop Obama. If the Democrats win the House, he doesn't have to go the executive order route to get what's he wants. That's why 2014 House races, that's the next big thing.
I wish it weren't.
The presidential race last November, that was ball game in terms of being able to repeal Obamacare. Now the House races of 2014, who's gonna control the House, is actually ball game for the kind of country we're gonna be. Now, I said earlier -- I agree with you -- Obama thinks that there is much more value in doing battle with the Republicans over amnesty than actually getting a bill that grants it. I think the Democrats have calculated that they'll get many more votes by having the Republicans out there as this mean-spirited, racist, extremist, anti-immigrant bunch than they will get if they get a bill that grants amnesty.
The Democrats begged Obama not to submit his own immigration bill. The Democrats and the Gang of Eight, those senators went up there. They announced their bill. They all stood there on the podium. They attached their names and their faces to the bill. What's Obama do? Obama is here in Florida this weekend playing golf, and his immigration plan is leaked to the USA Today, and his chief of staff is on TV yesterday morning talking about it? It's not even his, as far as perception is concerned. It's not Obama's bill. Obama's picture isn't anywhere near it. Obama didn't talk about it. He didn't have a big ceremony where he presented it.
It's the administration's immigration bill. But it was leaked. It sort of just dribbled out there. The whole purpose of this bill is to gum up the works. This is a wrench thrown into the gears, by design. 'Cause I really believe... I'll say it again. I think Obama calculates there are many more votes to get in the 2014 election with the Republicans as the usual bogeymen than there are votes to get by actually passing an immigration reform bill. Now, some Republicans, on the other hand, they think -- and this is the danger point -- that a panacea for them awaits passage of an immigration bill, and that's where they're dead wrong.
If they think passing an immigration bill with something that looks like amnesty in it is going to result in a massive shift of Hispanic votes for them, then they're listening to the wrong people. They're listening to the wrong consultants, the wrong advisers. They're listening to the same people who've advised them on nominating the wrong presidential candidates over the years. It would be the same mistake. What the Republicans need to be doing with immigration in my mind, just off the top of my head here? They need to fight for something they know they can't get simply because they don't have the numbers.
They need to be fighting for something called the sovereignty of United States border. It ought to have something in it like this. Again, I'm just thinking of the moment, but I'm not thinking about something passing. I'm thinking about the Republicans needing something to be seen fighting for, even if they are gonna lose it -- and it's something like this: "You know, we've got ten to 12, 20, whatever it is, million immigrants in the country. We're not talking about deporting 'em. Nobody is. But we're gonna lock down this border, and we are going to reestablish this distinct American culture that immigrants in the past came to this country for.

"Them or us"
Republicans want to stop ILLEGAL immigration, but whenever you hear the media talk about or reference it for the last 8 years, it's always "Republicans hate immigration" nothing about the specific fact that it's specially ILLEGAL immigration they are trying to stop.
That's one of the things every Republican should have always done - stopped anyone who asked them about immigration and pointed out that it was ILLEGAL immigration that was bad.
They should start it now. Better late than never.
Meanwhile:
Many African-Americans Concerned About Obama's Focus on Immigrant Rights
RUSH: Now, let's see. We had Reginald from Atlanta, and Reginald was another in a significant number of African-Americans who have called here over the years embarrassed that so many blacks vote Obama and vote for the Democrat Party. I pointed out that unemployment for both women and African-Americans is higher today than it was when Obama took office in 2009. That's federal government data, by the way. It's not anybody analyzing it. It is actual federal government data. In addition, McClatchy News has a story: "Many African-Americans Concerned About Obama's Focus on Immigrant Rights."
You know, this is a story that is underreported, and it's underreported for a reason, because race is the primary component in the media bias. Given that Obama's a liberal Democrat, given that, add to it that he is black, and that's the primary component of their bias. Don't doubt me on this. What this story is about is a number of African-American groups who are publicly expressing concern about Obama's focus on amnesty. Now, why do you think that is? (interruption) Well, no. Well, partially because they're unemployed.
But it's all about competition to be the number one beneficiary of government benefits. It's about being the top dog minority, and what these African-American groups are upset about is Obama's gonna go out and focus on the illegals. By definition, they're gonna not have jobs and they're need benefits, and these African-American groups are getting jealous. Obama's gonna be more focused on the needs of Hispanics and Latinos than he is blacks. They're getting nervous. They're concerned about his focus on immigrant rights. They might be forgotten, or not forgotten, but they might be relegated to "secondary status," if you will.
And that's happened before, too. That is actually not a new story.
Talk about instilling a little white guilt!
University Teaches: It's Unfair to be White
RUSH: I have a story from the website Campus Reform: "The University of Wisconsin -- Superior (UWS) is sponsoring a campaign that teaches students it is 'unfair' to be white, a university spokesperson confirmed to Campus Reform last Wednesday. The controversial project, named the 'Unfair Campaign,' exists to teach students that 'systems and institutions are set up for us [whites]' and as such are 'unfair.' The campaign’s slogan, as it appears on its official website, is 'it’s hard to see racism when you’re White.'"
But here we have essentially a university teaching students how unfair it is to be white. Well, that's how you get to a bunch of white liberals thinking that Chris Dorner, the murdering ex-cop in LA, is some kind of vigilante hero. He's only getting even with a bunch of evil old white people that have been running around running the show for all these years. It's unfair to be white. It's unfair. They gotta be gotten even with. The playing field has to be leveled.
"The project disseminates its controversial message through an aggressive campaign of online videos, billboards, and lectures. Posters produced by the group feature a number of Caucasians with slogans like 'is white skin really a fair skin?' sharpied on their faces."
They have a picture of one of those posters right here, too small for you to see on the Dittocam. "The campaign was initially sponsored by the University of Minnesota -- Duluth (UMD), but the school dropped their partnership and labeled the campaign 'divisive' and 'alienating' after a Campus Reform investigation brought unwanted national attention to the school."
If they hadn't been discovered doing it, they woulda kept on. "Lynn Williams, a spokeswoman for UWS, told Campus on Wednesday UWS does not 'exactly' share UMD’s concerns. The school is using the campaign as an 'opportunity on our campus to talk about all privilege and to create conversation,' she told Campus Reform." It's unfair to be white. White people have an unfair advantage, and white people are being taught this. Well, all students are being taught this, but this kind of stuff never gets countered. Well, you know, people aren't gonna believe that, just absurd, it's ridiculous, nobody's gonna ever gonna believe it.
Rush...don't make a story where there is none!
Yet Rush tries to make it like it is some kind of criticism of the President.
Would be nice if it were, but if Romesha doesn't come right out and say it, why try to imply it?
Medal of Honor Winner Turns Down Obama Invite
RUSH: From TheHill.com: "Former Army staff sergeant Clint Romesha, who was awarded the Medal of Honor at the White House on Monday, has declined the first lady's invitation to sit in her box on Tuesday night during the [Misstatement] of the Union address. Clint Romesha told CNN he will watch the speech with friends from his former unit and his wife. 'I've done some soul searching,' he said. 'As much as a great honor it would be to be a guest of the first lady, it's also kind of hard to break away from the friends and the family and all the great guys here.'" So this Medal of Honor winner is saying: No mas. No mas.

Jobs bill targeted to black Americans?
O'Reilly was talking to a black guy - not sure of his name or position, presumably an economist of some kind.
O'Reilly was saying that Obama hadn't done anything for the black community, their job numbers are still abysmal.
The black guy said Obama should create a jobs program targeted for black Americans...
And I was thinking to myself...why are so many black teenagers out of work? Is it because they are being discriminated against by white America?
Or is it because most black teenagers drop out of school, or barely skate on faked test results (I think it was in Atlanta that a fantastic turn around in schools actually turned out to be the teachers faking results).
They can't do math, they speak Ebonics rather than English, they don't know manners (and yes, I know most teeenagers don't know any manners) ...could *that* explain why they can't find jobs?
So of what would this job bill consist? "Hire a black person and we'll give you the money to educate him or her up to high school level so that one day they'll actually be able to do the job you give them?"
Does that sound racist? I don't think it is. I have shared a few examples here of African Americans being giving jobs that they weren't qualified for. The test score minimum was lowered so they could be hired, as per Eric Holder's orders.
Don't get me wrong, blacks as a whole are just as smart and ethical and able to do good and achieve as white folks, Asian, Mexican, ...anybody else on the planet. I'm NOT saying otherwise.
All I'm saying is that in the black community, there has long seemed to be a movement afoot to not "accept middleclassness," to be "other." {They actually excoriate members of their community who *do* accept middle classness, calling them "Uncle Toms" or people who want to be "white" when all they're doing is embracing the American way and working toward getting that brass ring that we all want.}
And when they do that, they shouldn't blame the prejudice of white America when they can't get jobs!

Very interesting comment frm MAxine Waters
RUSH: Here's Maxine Waters. This was last Sunday on TV One's Washington Watch with Roland Martin. Maxine Waters, Democrat from California. Her district is basically the Watts area of Los Angeles, and Roland Martin said, "The reality is like anything else, you'd better get what you can while Obama's there because, look, come 2016, that's it." Now, what Roland Martin's saying here is all of you who are looking for prosperity from the government, you better get it and get it now. Get it while you can, get it while Obama's there, because come 2016, he's not gonna be there, and then you're gonna be on your own. You better get what you can get now. And here's what Maxine Waters said in reply.
WATERS: Well, you know, I don't know. And I think some people are missing something here. The president has put in place an organization that contains the kind of database that no one has ever seen before in life. That's going to be very, very powerful. That database will have information about everything on every individual in ways that it's never been done before.
RUSH: Hmm. Okay. Cool. Fine. What's that got to do with getting benefits after 2016? Maybe she didn't understand what he was talking about. He's talking about, you better get in there, get your goodies right now because in 2016 he's gone. Better get it while you can. She says, "I don't know, Roland, he's got this database." Maybe she means he's not going anywhere. Maybe that's what she means, folks. He's not going anywhere, 'cause he's got this database with information about everything on every individual. I'll bet that's what she meant, Snerdley. That 2016 isn't a big deal 'cause he's not going anywhere. That has to be it.
I wonder what database she is talking about.
The Obamacare database, which is going to ensure that we are taxed into our graves?
Obama's approval "plummets"
Obama Approval Falls
RUSH: Anyway, folks, Obama's approval numbers (according to Quinnipiac) have plummeted. He's down to 46/45 job approval, according to the Quinnipiac University poll. That's down from 53-40 in December.
What I want to know is...who are these 46% who think he's doing a good job? All Democrats, I suppose, but considering that he hasn't helped anyone....who in the world thinks he or the Dems are doing a good job?

Hypocrisy in Action
Very rich dumb blond has lost all her money, and apparently can't do anyting except get a job as a waitress, with a streetwise New York-ish girl who likes to use her assets (her breasts) to get what she wants.
So for the Super Bowl there's a commercial of this disgusting show with the two women pole dancing for the delight of the boys and men in the audience who, once again, are confirmed in their lifelong instruction that girls were put on this earth merely to be eye candy for them.
So some idiot staffer for some politician tweets, "Me likey Broke Girls" and he has been fired. Why???
Because he said "Me likey" which is pidgin English I guess and thus offensive to the Chinese?
Or because he made a personal comment on a politician's official tweet account?
It was hardly any more offensive than the show itself, which is designed to appeal to the male demographic who think women can't do a damn thing except be waitresses and give them sex or at least eye candy.
A spokesman for Idaho Rep. Raul Labrador has reportedly been fired for mistakenly tweeting from his boss' account during the Super Bowl about a risque ad for the CBS sitcom "2 Broke Girls."
“Me likey Broke Girls,” Phil Hardy, who had been operating Labrador's Twitter account, tweeted Sunday after seeing the spot that featured the show's stars—Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs—pole-dancing to Def Leppard's "Pour Some Sugar On Me."
The tweet was deleted within 14 seconds but was quickly archived by Politwoops, a website that collects deleted tweets from politicians.
“For Rep. Raúl R. Labrador, the most memorable moment seemed to come during an ad for CBS's 2 Broke Girls involving a stripper pole, clothes being ripped off, and a cherry being seductively consumed," Politwoops cheerily explained.
Labrador's office issued a public apology for the tweet on Monday. According to the Idaho Statesman, Labrador then fired Hardy, who had worked for the Republican congressman since 2010.
A receptionist at Labrador's office in Meridian, Idaho, referred a call from Yahoo News to his office on Capitol Hill, which did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Toggling between personal and work-related social media accounts can be tricky.
"For those familiar with managing multiple Twitter accounts on Tweetdeck, this is a mistake of nightmares," Mashable.com noted. "It's all-too easy to confuse your organization's account with your personal one."
And in this case, the confusion apparently cost a Hill staffer his job.
According to the paper, Hardy previously "worked in the music industry, including a stint in London, specializing in heavy metal bands, before coming to Idaho"—which may partially explain his momentary lapse in judgment at the sight of two women gyrating to the hard rock tune.

This gun hysteria is just getting out of control...
RUSH: Loveland, Colorado. "A 2nd grader has been suspended from school in Loveland for a make believe game he was playing. The 7-year-old says he was trying to save the world. But school administrators say he broke a key rule during his pretend play." This is a perfect story as we find ourselves in the midst of an anti-gun hysteria.
A seven-year-old kid, Alex Evans: "'I was trying to save people and I just can’t believe I got dispended [sic]. It’s called "rescue the world,"' he says. He was playing a game during recess at Loveland’s Mary Blair Elementary School and threw an imaginary grenade into a box with pretend evil forces inside. 'I pretended the box, there’s something shaking in it, and I go "pshhh."'" He fake threw a grenade. "The boy didn’t throw anything real or make any threats against anyone. He explains he was pretending to be the hero. 'So nothing can get out and destroy the world.'" Inside that box is all the evil. And he was saving the world. He's in a pretend game, little boys do this. You women may not be aware of this. But little boys play these pretend games all the time.
They pretend to be cowboys. They pretend to be soldiers, GI Joe. They pretend to be superheroes. They pretend to be saving the world. Sometimes they even pretend to be saving women! And this little kid has been called on it. His imaginary playacting broke the school's rules. "The school lists 'absolutes' designed to keep a safe environment. The list includes absolutely no fighting, real or imaginary; no weapons, real or imaginary.
And so, ladies and gentlemen, the left wing's war on boys continues. They have almost succeeded now in removing any semblance of masculinity from boys. Young Alex ought to consider himself lucky. If anybody knows young Alex, tell him that he's just lucky that the president didn't whack him with a drone.
RUSH: You know, I have a great idea for young Alex Evans who got in trouble out there in Loveland, Colorado, for pretending to save the world. He was in recess, playing in a schoolyard, pretending to throw a hand grenade to save the world, and they suspended him. He violated the rules. You can't pretend to be fighting, can't pretend to be using weapons, can't pretend. Well, Alex likes to pretend. That means for him, it's off to ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, Washington Post, New York Times! They do a lot of pretending there, and young Alex would fit right in.
Student Turned in for Desktop Gun Photo
RUSH:
From Florence, Arizona. "A high school student in Florence said he has been suspended because of a picture of a gun. Daniel McClaine Jr., a freshman at Poston Butte High School, said he saved the picture as his desktop background on his school-issued computer. A teacher noticed it and turned him in." That'll teach him! So the desktop picture on the guy's computer is a gun. A teacher sees it and "turns him in."
Do you know what this reminds me of?
A Los Angeles firehouse back in the early nineties. A fireman had, in his cubicle, somewhere in his private space, a Playboy magazine. A newly commissioned female firewoman walked by and saw it on his desk or whatever. It was there. It wasn't open. It was just a Playboy. She reported him. He got in some kind of trouble. I don't remember if he was suspended or whatever. It was just for having a Playboy, for use in his private time, in his private space. So now here comes this high school student with a desktop picture of a gun. "A teacher noticed it and turned him in. The picture shows an AK-47 on top of a flag. McClaine said the school initially suspended him for three days Friday."
He's a freshman.
