Okay, I couldn' resist. Rush is making excuses for Perry today.
Apparently at the debate, Perry, who had no teleprompter, "While answering a question about the federal tax code, Perry announced that he would eliminate three agencies.
"It's three agencies of government when I get there that are gone. Commerce, education and ..." Perry said before an exceedingly long, awkward pause."
And the news is all about that.
Of course, where was the mainsteam media when Obama talked about the 57 states, mispronounced "corps" and so on and so forth.
While Perry's gaffe should not derail his presidential candidate push, I would think, what it will do - and this is a pity - is put paid to all the harping on Obama's gaffes.
Although, admittedly, it's one thing to forget three alphabet soup acronyms, and another to say that there are 57 states in the Union!
