Windpower Costing Money, Not Saving Money

And it really ruins the scenery.

So why are we doing it?

Story #4: Wind Power Will Cost Rhode Island Taxpayers $1.5M

RUSH: Meanwhile, as we stay in Rhode Island, this is from February 18th. "Wind Power Will Cost RI Taxpayers $1.5M -- Deepwater Wind's initial project will raise state and local governments' electric bills by a combined $1.5 million in its first year ... Municipal electric bills will increase by a total of $1 million while state government's bill will rise by $476,630, according to an estimate commissioned by National Grid from Energy Security Analysis Inc. The cost would rise by 3.5 percent every year for the next two decades." Now, we're talking about a hoax here. It's costing $1.5 million increase using wind power for little Rhode Island, and they tried to keep this information from public view, by the way. Some people found out about the leak. They don't want people to know. See, they spread this myth: "Wind power is going to solve all the problems! Wind and solar, it's gonna lower electricity bills! It's gonna make everything all that much more affordable." No. Everybody's electric bill is going to rise.
