At the meeting the Vice President will discuss ways the Administration plans to build on the success of the Recovery Act’s Race to the Top program by applying the competitive-based model to new education, infrastructure and energy initiatives to spur innovation and reform. Director of the Office of Management and Budget Jacob Lew, Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Shaun Donovan, Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood, Secretary of Energy Steven Chu, and Director of the Domestic Policy Council Melody Barnes will also deliver brief remarks.
