Rush spoke today about Obama's suggested budget cuts - to helping poor people pay their heating bills, to cutting grants for kids to go to college, and so on, and saying that they'd never be passed.
He never said the obvious thing that would help us climb out of the debt hole we are in - stop foreign aid to other countries. Yes, even Israel. We are bankrupt. We don't have enough money for our own people, therefore we certainly don't have enough money to be pouring overseas.
We're sending money to China - China, with an economy stronger than ours!
We're sending money to Brazil to drill for oil...but will we see any discounted oil out of that deal? I think not.
As for Israel...well, they've already got enough weapons, and their economy is better than anyone else's in the Middle East. Time for them to stand on their own two feet.
