On the other hand, as the saying goes, Israel just wants to be left alone. Why shouldn't they be there, living peacefully with their Muslim neighbors? It's only the Muslims who hate them and are trying to kill them. As some ...meme? - is that the word? - says, "The Middle East doesn't have to defend itself against Israel, because Israel isn't attacking them. But if Israel stops defending herself, she'll disappear over night." Something like that.
Anyway, tension with Israel is just building and building. They're going to have to do something. Question is, what will they do?
Story #1: Iran's Mullahs Call Hate Rally, Send Warships to Syria
RUSH: The French News Agency is reporting that the mullahs and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the Iranian regime, have called for a rally on Friday in Tehran to express hatred -- they're actually calling it a hatred rally -- against the opposition, a hatred rally against the freedom fighters in Iran. The government is calling a hatred rally. No, I do not expect Pharaoh Obama to get involved in that. If the mullahs are calling for a hatred rally… (laughing) And then there's this. This is just happening. Two Iranian warships are planning on sailing through the Suez Canal on the way to Syria today. This has not happened in a while. It is very provocative. The nation of Israel sees a major threat, of course, in the nuclear program of Iran, and these Iranian warships are gonna hit the Suez Canal on the way to Syria. And the Israeli foreign minister is saying, "To my regret, the international community is not showing readiness to deal with the recurring Iranian provocations. The international community must understand that Israel cannot forever ignore these provocations." They might have to do something about this if nobody else will. Of course they have to be very concerned about what would be on those warships on the way to Syria and Hafez al-Assad… no, Bashar Assad. Hafez al-Assad is room temperature now.
