Will and Grace

According to Biden, the hit sitcom Will and Grace probably did more to educate the American populace on gay marriage than any other attempt - by government, by gays writing books, etc.

Interestingly, I don't think gays actually liked the show, they viewed it as a sort of minstrel show, with Jack the promiscuous and utterly self-absorbed "funny" guy, and Will the conservative - couldn't tell he was gay if he wasn't kissing a guy - version, and then Grace who is Will's best friend, and then another totally absorbed "funny" woman..whose name is escaping me at the moment...

Anyway, I have to admit I found the show offensive - not because of its depiction of gay people in a positive light via Will, or in a negative view via the promiscuous and extremely self-absorbed Jack, but because of the devolving character of Grace.

At some point in the series she started dating two guys at once, then got married to a guy who was a doctor, went with him to some desolate country and spent her time shopping in the country's only store while her hubby doctored the ill out in the veldt, then when he cheats on her she finds ten thousand bucks or something in the mattress of a bed in what she assumes is his country cabin, only to find out they were in the wrong cabin and she's just spent someone's life savings....

So, no...although I liked the actors, and while some bits of it were extremely funny, overall I despised it.
