$5 gas by Memorial Day

Rush didn't spend much time on this little piece of news, he just mentioned it in passing.

But I find it extremely depressing. Of course Limbaugh is blaming Obama, and I don't blame him.

The reasoning is simple. If you want to stop people from burning fossil fuels, you raise the price of gasoline. It must be noted that the US has always paid less for gas than people in the rest of the world...now all of a sudden we're paying what they pay.

Only thing is, the rest of the world lives cheek by jowl by each other - you can get from one country to another in a couple of hours. In the US, you can get only from one state to another!
RUSH: CBS News in Chicago is reporting five-dollar-a-gallon gasoline by Memorial Day. Now, certainly, that's gonna have to be a tipping point, five-dollar-a-gallon gasoline by Memorial Day, during a Democrat presidency. Let's see how that shakes out.

I don't know that this will be a "tipping" point. Probably all the Democrats - who use public transporation, anyway, don't care!
