Republicans Won in Wisconsin

With all the furor over Scott Walker - and admittedly his was the most important race - I had completely forgotten that the Dems tried to recall quite a few other Republican politicians as well - they all prevailed.

Walker seemed to be in a compromise mood last night - "Let's get together and work to move Wisconsin forward" to paraphrase him...

But really, all these recall folk should be sent bills for what it cost the state to do this election. If you didn't like Walker's policies, if he wasn't doing what you wanted him to do - try to vote him out come the next normal election time. It's only if he's actually guilty of malfeasance that these recall elections should be held.

This whole thing was just stupid and wasteful -- too wasteful for a state that had budget problems.

It will be interesting to see how Dems react when its time for Obama to get voted in for his second term. Obviously they'll want a Dem in the White House...but maybe they'll be willing to forego it for 4 years just to pay Obama back? (Remembering that Obama took no part at all in the Dem struggle to get Walker recalled. All he did was tweet yesterday that he hoped Barrett would win.)
