Supreme Court Justices Removed by Iowan voters

Rush was happy about this.
Story #2: Iowa Voters Remove Liberal Supreme Court Justices

RUSH: In Iowa: "Iowa voters have voted to remove three state Supreme Court justices, siding with conservatives angered by a ruling that allowed gay marriage." When you dig deep, the closer you get to the grassroots of this country, you find out what a wipeout this was last night.

The point is, the law they set in place...is still in place...so it does no good to remove the judges from their position.

Someone at a different message board I read, said this:
What a bunch of idiots. They voted out three Iowa Supreme Court Justices and voted not to have a constitutional convention. The goofy part of that is, the law won't change, just three new justices and three more people out of work. If they really wanted to change the law, they need a constitutional convention.

and
The problem is you can't just start getting rid of judges because you don't like one decision they make. That undermines our whole system of government and has really long term ramifications. If the judges are truly unfit for office, then you vote not to retain. This was a vote against their decision that our equal protection clause covers gay marriage. It was blatant intimidation of judges. It's outrageous.

And I have to agree...
