Is Barack Obama Hari Seldon?

Let me start this little opinion piece by saying that I don't like Obama's policies. He's a socialist and he's trying to turn the US into a socialist country - and succeeding. (That Health Care issue is going to take some beating...)

Rush was quoting from a Politico piece today that said that some Democrat insiders are saying Obama doesn't have the "self-awareness" to know he's got to change to help the Democrat cause in 2012.

But I think that Obama knows exactly what he's doing. He's steering an unpopular course, and he's not going to change it, not because he's too stupid to change it, but because he's doing exactly what he wants to do. He wants to turn the US into a socialist country, and help the world-government movement. It's as simple as that.

Take any president who has the courage of their own beliefs. Did they chop and change just because they were unpopular with the public? You didn't see Bush changing course just because people disagreed with his conduct of the War on Terror. No, he believed he was in the right and he stuck to his guns.

Obama is doing the same thing. I think he's wrong. Most of the country thinks he's wrong, and we've got to stop him -and the Democrats - from accomplishing their goals. But never think that Obama doens't have the courage of his own convictions.

(I'm reminded of science fiction stories from the 1940s, the first inmstallment in the Lensman series by EE Doc Smith (Triplanetary) and the first Foundation story by Isaac Asimov. They both had the same premise. Some leader (or being) who could see the future, works to bring about change. He's unpopular in his time, ridiculed even, but because of his actions...the future is changed completely. Well, who'se to say that Obama isn't Hari Seldon? Or at least, thinks he is?)
