Voting officials in DC are outraged!

A man went in to a DC voting place and asked if someone named Eric Holder was on the rolls.

The worker looked, and saw that there was. So he handed the man a ballot.

"Don't I need an ID?"

"No."

The man then left, because he wasn't Eric Holder, but rather an undercover filmmaker, who had just proved that anyone could vote in DC by pretending to be someone else.

You'd think this would make voting officials ready to adopt the need for folks to present an ID to prove who they are.

Not so. The filmaker is in trouble for attempting voter fraud, even though he didn't actually vote.

*I* can think of no reason why an ID should not be required to vote. It is a no-brainer! You need an ID to cash a check, you need an ID to drive a car... if people don't have IDs then they need to get them!
