I didn't listen to Davis today - except for a brief span of about fove minutes when the topic was gay marriage...
Frankly, I'm all for gay marriage and I'll say it again.
Gays are just like everbody else. There are some bad apples - but most bad apples are straight.
There are some gays who flaunt their gayness to the silliest extreme - straights - teenagers, do that too.
All gays want is the right to be looked upon as human beings with the same rights as anyone else, including the right to get married. They can't possibly be any worse at marriage than straights are. And most gays won't contribute to the over-population problem.
Since I'm an atheist I of course don't care what the Bible says about homosexuality. I do think it odd that the Catholic Church enabled pedophiles for decades, moving priests from parish to parish instead of kicking them out when news of their behavior first became known and excommunicating them... the church, at least the Catholic church, lost a lot of moral high ground over that little debacle.
"If we allow gay marriage, will marriage to horses or sheep be far behind? Or men and ten year old boys, etc." Those are the fears that some people raise.
But men having sex with each other, (or women and other women) takes place between consenting adults. An animal can't possibly consent to sex with a human being, so that's plain old rape and pretty sick. Same thing as adults and little children. Again, little children can't consent, so legalizing such behavior will never happen.
