The Media Won't Let it Go - But Rush Won't Either..

Grown men aren't supposed to cry, Rush said today, on the story about Chad Henne being replaced by Chad Pennington.

Well... I wonder if he commented about the teary-eyed Boehner when he learned he'd be the new Speaker of the House for the Republicans? Probably not. (Heh heh heh.)

I dunno, just because a guy cries doesn't make him any less of a man...unless he's crying about burning dinner or something...and even then if he was cooking dinner for his employer and needed to make a good impression...

Then Rush said this, about the Donovan McNabb controversy:
BRADLEY: The racial tone is there. The fact that Mike Shanahan hasn't had an African-American quarterback even as a backup in 20 plus years lends some credibility to it. Another thing that's interesting is Donovan McNabb has always been labeled as kind of the company man, he's the anti-militant. But these types of issues seem to follow him around. You've got the Rush Limbaugh issue. Maybe if he just stepped up at some point and said, "Wait a minute, the way I'm being treated is disrespectful," maybe some of these coaches would realize there's some backlash to doing some of this.

RUSH: Folks, when did this happen? Was it five or six years ago this all happened with the ESPN pregame show? And here they are in Philadelphia, McNabb doesn't even play there anymore, he's coming back -- well, I think the Iggles go to Washington this weekend for the rematch. Just amazing.

Now, obviously the fact that you've got people calling Shanahan a racist is ridiculous. I don't know much about Shanahan but don't most coaches defer to the owner or somebody who goes out and chooses their players, and then the coach just has to make them fit?

But it is true Shanahan handled the situation stupidly. Either it was cardio or it was because he didn't know the playbook. That's dumb. Say one thing and stick with it!

But then Rush complains that they never forget what he said about Donovan McNabb six years or so ago. And yet Rush never lets us forget that John Kerry served in Vietnam. He says that as a joke because apparently whenever the news people talked about Kerry they mentioned that he'd served in Vietnam, so Rush took it and ran with it. I've always thought it was unfair to Kerry - it's the media saying it all the time, not him. But Rush says that every day even though its long past its sell-by date.
