As Rush was emphasizing all last week, when it was pretty well known that Republicans would take back the House, the newly elected Congresspeople and Senators have to fulfill their promises to the American people if they expect to stay in office. And what they've got to do is lower our unemployment rate - and hopefully get rid of or at least rewrite Obamacare into a more sensible form.
It's kind of funny. I read a message board that is full of Liberals, and someone posted a very over-the-top rant about his hatred of the new Republicans. I take the liberty of sharing some of his diatribe:
Well it was an outstanding night for The Democratic Party. Strength was held in such prestigious voting districts as New York, New England, Chicago, and California. History was made today with Jerry Brown as the once and future Governor of California. Yet the Elite Media is focusing on the so called “Gains” in the House. Already We The People are bearing witness to how the Republicans will promote Gridlock. Well if you don’t work with the President to help promote hope and change than you will be kicked out of office in two years just like you were two years ago.
I responded by pointing out that Democrats lost the House for a reason, and it was because the people who elected these Republicans didn't want them to work with Obama...and that really should have been rather obvious.
Of course, Harry Reid and Barbara Boxer retained their seats, which does make you wonder about the intelligence of people in Nevada and California (at least, more so than one usually wonders about them!).
