Is It Really Necessary to Show those Photos of Mrs. Clinton?

If you go to Rush's website, every day at about 4 pm eastern time, you will see the transcriptions of that day's show, illustrated with a few photos. Whether Rush chooses the photos that accompany the stories I don't know, but there are two stories on Hilary Clinton, and two photos of her taken from unflattering angles and extremely closeup. Is that really necessary?

Oh, there's always a few photos of Obama - a photo of him laughing superimposed over some serious story, but never anything quite as egregious as this - never anything close up like this.

In one of Rush's monologues today, which I won't share, he points out that he discusses "ideas" on his program, not "people". I wish that were true. But while he does discuss ideas, that doesn't prevent him from childish name calling ike "The Forehead," "Dingy Harry" etc. which kind of detracts from his comment that he's all about substance and the issues, not people.

Having said that, there is an interesting article - if Obama is elected again, Hilary doesn't want to be secretary of State anymore. From the questions, it appears she intends to leave public life altogether.
Story #8: On CNN, Hillary Sounds Fed Up with Her Job

RUSH: Looks like Mrs. Clinton wants out. Interview with Wolf Blitzer, Question: "If the President is reelected, do you want to serve a second term as Secretary of State?"

"No."

"Would you like to serve as Secretary of Defense?"

"No."

"Would you like to be vice president of the United States?"

"No."

"Would you like to be president of the United States?"

"No."

Mrs. Clinton said, "No."

She also said, "Democratic dreams can be dashed by new autocrats or ideologues who use violence or deception to seize power or advance an undemocratic agenda." That's a pretty harsh slam on Obama. No wonder she wants out. Heh-heh-heh-heh.

Now that's an interesting statement, but is it out of context? Was she talking about Obama, was she talking in general, or had she just been asked a question about the revolutions going on in the Middle Eastern countries like Libya and Bahrain, which haven't been as succsessful as the one in Egypt, which apparently gave everyone else false hope that these things could be done in a civilized manner.

Edited - I looked at the source article for Rush's quotes - its an interview with Wolf Blitzer that's not going to air until Wednesday - so no one's seen it, and we're just being given quotes. The source article also didn't have that quote on "democratic dreams" so I'm not sure where Rush got that.
