Story #5: Bamster Fails to Sell Out $50 Tickets in NYC
RUSH: Obama couldn't fill a room in New York at 50 bucks. Did you hear about this? Obama had a fundraiser, and he couldn't fill the room last night in New York City for $50, and it included a photo with him. This is in New York City, 'cause he's up there for the UN. It's a 650-seat auditorium, 450 showed up, and they couldn't give away the last 200 seats or tickets at 50 bucks apiece. (interruption) Well, I know I do a better show than him but he's the president of the United States, and you would think that these Democrats would love to see him. This is The Messiah! It's a chance to spend some time with The Messiah at 50 bucks! But, no.
But it should be remembered..apparently the Glen Beck/Sarah Palin event in Alaska wasn't sold out, either.
Frankly, I think the people who used to go to these things just don't have the money to spare anymore.
