You Work Hard for 4 Years, Then Throw It Away in One Night

IN the news today, a Belgian cyclist, Gijs van Hoecke, got drunk last night, "blowing off steam" as he turned it. Not just drunk...so drunk he couldn't stand, let alone walk, and had to be helped into a cab by his teammates.

(One wonders where they were when their teammate was getting sozzled. Didn't they know enough to stop the guy?)

So, four years of training for the ultimate stage, down the drain.

Serve the guy right.
