Have you voted? Go vote now!

Rush didn't have much new today. He repeated several soundbytes from his CPAC speech (which he'd made a month after Obama was inaugerated).

He warned people to beware of voting machines.

And he pointed out, again, that Washington "lurks in wait" for the Tea Party winners, and as he'd pointed out many times before, the Washington "insiders" intend to take and mold these newcomers - all newcomers have very little influence - unless they're like Barack Obama and have powerful friends to PUSH them into a Presidential run...

Politics: Your Life or Just a Fad?

Rush had a comment about the story, "Young Voters Say they Feel Abandoned." The gist of the story is that, according to this article, in 2008 college kids voted for Obama because it was "the thing to do." Now after 2 years, they don't care enough about the guy to vote.

Because frankly - if these kids wanted Obama to be successful, they'd be out in droves voting Democrat to make sure Obama retains his majority. The fact that they don't care what happens may be as a result of Obama's policies - they can't find jobs - or it may be just that, the fad is gone, and now they don't care who the President or their politicians are - whoever they are, they - the students - will be getting their perks.
Story #4: Generation Obama Now Listens to Rush Limbaugh

RUSH: There is a story in the New York Times today datelined out of Miami. It's by Doug Mills, and the headline of the story: "Young Voters Say They Feel Abandoned -- Two years ago, the University of Miami could not get enough Barack Obama. The campaign rally he held here felt like a rock concert, his face appeared on T-shirts all over campus, and pro-Obama volunteers registered 2,000 new voters.

"Meetings of the College Democrats that attracted 200 people in 2008 now pull in a dozen. New voter registration is way down, too, and free posters of President Obama -- once 'the Michael Jordan' of politics, as one freshman put it -- are now refused by students. 'It’s not the fad anymore,' said Jessica Kirsner, 21, a junior from Houston and vice president of the College Democrats. 'It's not the fad to be politically knowledgeable and active.'" See, with you told you, just a fad, 2008. It was just a fad. "This was not what Generation O expected Mr. Obama won two years ago with 66 percent of the 18- to 29-year-old vote, a historic proportion. ... Now, however, former Obama volunteers nationwide say that they and their former colleagues are less involved and more ambivalent.

"Experts say the usual midterm effect, in which young voters are especially likely to disengage, has combined with an unexpected distance that has arisen between Mr. Obama and many young constituents. While most of them still view him more favorably than their parents or grandparents do, various polls show that the youthful passion that led to action has not been sustained. 'They were emotionally invested,' said Peter Levine, director of the Center for Information and Research on Civic Learning and Engagement at Tufts University. 'Somehow that should have been turned into, for Democrats, a revival of progressive policy, and in a neutral way, a revival of democracy starting with young people.' 'So far, it hasn't happened,' he added." You read the story, more of this, more testimonials from people who just don't feel the love. They're just not feeling the love. (interruption)

Snerdley says, "Well, what happened? What happened?" The problem is that nothing happened! College is still as expensive, they still can't find jobs, people are still angry and argue with each other. All the stuff Obama promised? The sea levels falling? Nothing's changed. As far as theory concerned, the polar bears and manatees are still dying. Nothing's changed. They thought idealistic change was immediate. So it was a fad but let's move forward in this piece, shall we? The final paragraph: The New York Times knows that most readers are not gonna go that far in any of their stories. But I -- I -- did. Last paragraph:

"A greater degree of focus on the young, the University of Miami students said, would have helped break through the talking points being offered by Republicans. Even on mostly liberal college campuses, the arguments against Mr. Obama have become more common. 'The other day, they were blaring Rush Limbaugh in the breezeway,' said Gaurav Dhiman, 20, president of the College Democrats." So this show is on the radios and the loudspeakers of College Democrats at the University of Miami. That's the last paragraph of that piece in the New York Times.

Rush shares montage of Obama's hecklers

Obama has been making a lot of stops - fundraising stops - and apparently he's been hecked at some of these. Rush had a montage of them on his show today.

I view these hecklers with a grain of salt. After all, at some kind of gay rights event Obama was heckled - this despite the fact that he is for gay rights. He just wasn't doing it fast enough to suit this gay heckler, who apparently thought he should have just signed an executive order to bring it about.

As I've said several times, Obama is not as popular as he once was...but it's not necessarily because his past voters don't like the direction he's taking the country. It's because they don't like the fact that he's not doing it fast enough!

So even though they're dissatisfied with Obama, they'll still be voting for Democrats on Nov 2.

Here's the montage:
This is from TheHill.com. Headline: "Thousands of Empty Seats for Last Dem Voter Rally by Obama, Biden," and this is in Cleveland. This is where Frank Luntz's focus group on Hannity was on Thursday night, and I'm telling you there was one person in that focus group that was for Obama. And if that focus group that Luntz put together was, in fact, an accurate cross-section of Cleveland, it's over. The Democrats don't have a chance.

There's even a picture of all the empty seats. "The arena where President Obama and Vice President [Bite Me] are making their final appeal to Democrats to get out and vote in Tuesday's midterm elections was far from capacity Sunday afternoon. The crowd estimate stands at 8,000 in the arena that seats just over 13,000 and a couple thousand empty seats are visible above the stage where Obama and [Bite Me] rallied supporters." I'm sure the crowds were just too confused and afraid to show up. I mean, that's what Obama's saying. Voters are gonna vote this way because they're confused and afraid. They're probably just afraid. You know, he was handing out candy -- which is what he does best, by the way. Nobody passes out candy better than Obama. But he couldn't give it away in Cleveland yesterday.

New York Post Page Six: "A struggling mom who wrote to President Obama about her financial hardship and received a handwritten response from him saying, 'Things will get better!,' has had to sell the letter to an autograph dealer to help pay for a house. Jennifer Cline, 28, from Monroe, Mich., wrote to Obama describing how she and her husband had lost their jobs in 2007. She wrote, 'I lost my job, my health benefits and my self-worth in a matter of five days.' Then she was diagnosed with two types of skin cancer, and she had no health insurance. She signed up for Medicaid, and treatment was successful. She went back to college after her unemployment benefit was extended. She added, 'In just a couple of years we will be in a great spot.'

"Obama was shown the letter by an aide on Jan. 8. He wrote back on a White House-headed card he signed: 'Thanks for the very kind and inspiring letter. I know times are tough, but knowing there are folks out there like you and your husband gives me confidence that things will keep getting better!' But things didn't immediately improve for Cline, who's now agreed to sell the letter to autograph dealer Gary Zimet for $7,000. He tells us, 'The letter is a historical document, and it is very hard for her to part with it. It's very timely considering the elections. But I don't think she's disillusioned with Obama -- this is just about surviving and practicality. She is selling it to pay for a house, which I think is poetic justice.'"

That's a quote from the autograph dealer: $7,000 to pay for a house. She's selling a letter Obama wrote her for money, for $7,000. She shoulda held out. I got $2.5 million for a letter written by Harry Reid on eBay. She coulda done better than seven grand.

Operation Reverse Chaos. Associated Press, two days ago: "Democratic voters are closely divided over whether President Barack Obama should be challenged within the party for a second term in 2012, an Associated Press-Knowledge Networks Poll finds. That glum assessment carries over into the nation at large, which is equally divided over whether Obama should be a one-term president. A real Democratic challenge to Obama seems unlikely at this stage," ha, ha, ha, that's what they say, "and his re-election bid is a long way off. But the findings underscore how disenchanted his party has grown heading into the congressional elections Tuesday. ... Among all 2008 voters, 51 percent say he deserves to be defeated in November 2012 while 47 percent support his re-election..."

Now, 51-47, AP says that's a tie, a margin-of-error tie. "Among Democrats, 47 percent say Obama should be challenged for the 2012 nomination and 51 percent say he should not be opposed. Those favoring a contest include most who backed Hillary Rodham Clinton's unsuccessful faceoff against Obama..." Operation Reverse Chaos. Operation Reverse Chaos showing up, and Obama, ladies and gentlemen, was heckled. This is USA Today: "President Obama, who is having a hard enough time with the Republicans this election season, had to deal with putative supporters today in Connecticut. As Obama launched into his stump speech at an arena in Bridgeport, a group of protesters began heckling him over funding for the global fight against AIDS." Liberal hecklers would not let him speak. We have audio sound bites. Here's the first.

OBAMA: (heckler shouting) E-e-excuse me! Excuse me! Excuse me, everyb'dy. (heckler shouting) Can me...? Let me just say this. (heckler shouting) Excuse me, young pe'ple. Excuse me. (booing) Let -- let me just say this. Yuh, uhh -- you know, these folks have been -- you've been appearing in every -- every rally we've been doin', and we're funding global AIDS (sic), and the other side is not. (heckler shouting) It would make a lot more sense for you guys to go to the folks who aren't interested in funding global AIDS instead of that rally.

RUSH: Obama heckled for not spending enough on AIDS, lying about the fact that Republicans don't. Bush, I think, is responsible for more funding in Africa than any other president. I wonder: Are liberal hecklers racists? Are liberal hecklers angry? Are liberal hecklers...? That's what they would say about us if we were heckling. By the way, whenever Obama says "folks," he means "enemy." Keep that in mind. The president of the United States called a certain number of Americans "enemies," his enemies. The sound bites continued. The hecklers were on both sides of Obama. He had 'em all around him. They were behind both teleprompters, both teleprompter screens. That's what made it impossible for Obama to continue: The hecklers got in the way of what was on the teleprompter.

OBAMA: (heckler shouting) A'right... (heckler shouting) A'right, you guys have made your point. You guys have made your point. Let's go. (heckler shouting) Let me jus' understand, everyb'dy... (heckler shouting) All right. (heckler shouting) Come on, guys. (extended booing) All right, everyb'dy, come on. (heckler shouting) All right, everyb'dy. (booing) Hey! Listen up. Listen up. Listen up. Listen up. Look... Listen up. Listen up, everybody.

RUSH: Having a tough time organizing the community there. Barack Hussein Obama, a little trouble organizing the community. It sounded like I heard some real anger in that room. Real anger. I wonder if the Drive-Bys report real anger. He was actually engaging hecklers! Why didn't somebody come in and remove them? Well, they did, but it took 'em long enough. Who got fired for letting this go on? There's even more. Obama finally addressed the hecklers again!

OBAMA: This is one of the great things about Democrats iiiiiis, uh, we always like to be heard. And that's a good thing. That's part of what this democracy's all about. The question we've got is: Which party is the most likely to actually fund it in ways that help people around the world? A'right?

RUSH: It sounds like the people at that rally don't think it's you! I mean, that's not a Republican rally where these people showing up saying there's not enough being done for AIDS. Now, let's go to Cleveland where we've told you a half-empty arena -- in Cleveland, SEIU Cleveland! Here's Obama. This is yesterday afternoon on Halloween.

OBAMA: We've gotta get Cleveland out to vote. We've gotta get everybody in Ohio out to vote, and in Ohio you can vote early. There is early voting just a few blocks from here. So you can go right after this rally if you have not voted because if everyone who fought for change in 2000-and-eight shows up to vote in 2000-and-ten, we will win this election. I am confident of that.

RUSH: You can't find a more Democrat town than Cleveland and nobody showed up. Compare that crowd to the one in Bridgeport all ticked off about AIDS funding. Now last night in Arlington, Texas -- I think this, by the way, is not being talked about. People who saw this who also saw Obama over the weekend, believe me... People who saw George W. Bush before game 4 of the World SEries throw out the first pitch. Contrast these. There were no mom jeans. He wasn't wearing mom jeans, didn't throw like a girl. He didn't call where he was "Cominsky" Park. This is before Game 4 of the World Series in Arlington, Texas, the PA announcer introducing the former president...

ANNOUNCER: We welcome the 41st president of the United States of America, George Herbert Walker Bush (cheers) and accompanying his father and throwing out tonight's ceremonial first pitch for Game 4 of the 106th World Series, please welcome the 43rd president of the United States of America, George W. Bush. (wild cheers)

RUSH: I asked: Where has Obama been during all this? Well, he was, again, in Cleveland.

More evidence of media bias against Republicans

According to Rush today:
In Delaware, Christine O'Donnell bought two 30-minute ads on a local TV station. The station "forgot" to run it both times. They simply "forgot" to run Christine O'Donnell's 30-minute ad. One last night, one this morning. Thirty minutes, bought and paid for. They say they forgot. As someone in broadcasting, there's a thing called the Traffic Log of each day's program with the commercials that are supposed to run. Computers do it these days. Maybe in Delaware they're not that far advanced in this TV station, there's no "forgetting." There's no "forgetting" to run an ad, believe me. There's no forgetting to run an ad. There's only a purposeful omission. There's only an active decision not to run an add.

To be honest, I don't really want O'Donnell to win. She's a creationist, for goodness' sake! But, if it's a question of Democrats or Republicans, you have to go with Republicans this voting cycle.

(Here's what NPR had to say about the O'Donnell ad -- the O'Donnell people sent the tape in after the deadline, so it's O'Donnell's people's fault:
Producer In Del. Disputes O'Donnell Claim About Ad
A half-hour television ad for Republican Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell was finally being aired on a Delaware public access channel after a day of delays.

The tea party favorite's campaign blamed the channel for the delays and suggested that politics was involved in the mix up, but Tim Qualls, an independent producer who booked time for the program on Comcast's channel 28, said it didn't run as scheduled because O'Donnell's campaign was late getting him the video.

Qualls said the campaign approached him Thursday about running the program this weekend. He said the campaign had a Friday deadline for getting him the video but didn't deliver it until Sunday night.

Qualls, a Republican who said he voted for O'Donnell in the primary, called on O'Donnell to clarify that the campaign was at fault so the incident doesn't hurt his reputation. He said he has been bombarded by nasty phone and e-mail messages, some including threats.

"I want something coming from her office saying something on this," he said. "Don't make me look like I forgot ... I got like 200 e-mails from people cussing me out."

O'Donnell's campaign released a statement Monday afternoon calling it a "misunderstanding" that also involved a third-party broker.

"Mr. Qualls is being incredibly cooperative now," the statement said. "We are sincerely sorry for any misunderstanding that has transpired."

Qualls said the video is now running twice Monday and four times Tuesday.

O'Donnell's campaign, which last week feuded with a conservative talk show host and has repeatedly fought with the state's largest newspaper, had notified supporters that the promotional video was scheduled to run Sunday night and twice Monday.

When it didn't, she sent a Twitter message saying she was told the station "'forgot' to air it both times ... even though we paid for the time slot last week."

"Dirty politics again?" another message said.

The ad features O'Donnell supporters talking about their struggles in the weak economy and criticizing the policies coming from Washington.

O'Donnell has announced no public events Monday. She faces Democrat Chris Coons in the race for the Senate seat long held by Vice President Joe Biden.

WE: Unions Target Your Retirement Savings

Most important election in our lifetimes - 2 days away

The most important election wasn't that of Obama, but rather this one two years later.

We've had 2 years to see what Obama - and the Democrats - want to do to this country. What they have done.

So this Tuesday is the referedum. Do a majority of Americans want the socialism Obama is espousing, or do they want a republic - where everyone - for the most part - is responsible for themselves.

Of course it's not as clear cut as that. You've got gays who want to be recognized as human beings, which is something Dems offer much more than Republicans, you've got illegal immigrants who want to be made legal - Dems again, and then you've got the Unions...Dems all the way.

If you're reading this blog, chanvces are very good you'll be voting straight Republican/Tea Party ticket on Tuesday..the Republicans are by no means perfect but they are a better solution - much better - than the Democrats!
